Bruce's Investment Club - Jan. 2010
Offshore investment in 3rd world countries > Bruce's Investment Club

I'm overwhelmed with the response to my "investment club"! Remember how I was hoping to get up to
$5,000? (In my eternal optimism, I was thinking we might make it to $8,000...)

As of today, there are 204 of you on the "more info" mailing list, and 122 of you have sent in
checks/money orders to the tune of $52,550! (only 10 times what I'd hoped for...)

Well, first to answer some questions youz guys (a nod to New Yorkers) have asked:

1. Why are you including us?
In the 16 years I've been selling storable foods, ya'll (a nod to Southerners) have purchased enough of
our foods to get us where we are today ... running a business that sells over a million dollars of
storable foods per year. I found this opportunity ... and I wanted to share it with those of you who
helped us get where we are today.

Back when I was thinking too small, I also wanted to get to the $5,000 mark to get the better returns
while 'spreading the risk' (that's the selfish part).

2. Will you let us know how the investment is doing?
Absolutely! I'll email to this list at least once-a-month (it won't go to the BPSF list, 'cause it has
nothing to do with our company ... this is between you and me). Also, I'll be sending you the
investment funds info, so you can track fund results yourself, if you wish.

3. Is this a 'Ponzi scheme'?
A few of you have warned me about this ... and it might be, though I'm not sure all that we'll be doing
is a Ponzi scheme. (For those of you who don't know, Ponzi was a guy in the early 20th Century who paid
his investors with funds he got from new recruits, and built up a huge pyramid scheme which ultimately
came crashing down ... and he went to jail.)

If Genius Funds is a Ponzi scheme, it's been very successful for 2+ years (longer than most of 'em
live), and is still growing. With the huge amount of funds we've received, I will "spread the risk" by
investing in 8 or 9 other funds, so if one goes bust, we won't lose our seed money. Believe me, I don't
want us to lose our money any more than you do, and I'll be careful with it.
Ponzi scheme or not, this *is* a risk, and that's why I've urged you only to send "throw away" money,
just-in-case.

4. Can we roll-over our investment at the end of 6 months?
At the end of 6 months (or 5 months, if there are any questionable activities with Genius Funds), the
entire fund will have to be liquidated.

*IF* we've made the anticipated profit ... and Obama has not yet destroyed the economy ... I'll be
sending an email to see if you want me to hold some of your profit to reinvest for another go around.
The balance will be mailed to you. At that point, it'll be up to you. (I encourage you to at least
retrieve your original investment, and only reinvest your profit...)

5. What are the tax consequences?
I'm still sorting that out. If *I'm* taxed on the profit, I'll just send you your profit and--I think-
-you shouldn't have to claim it. (If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know.)
If I get the funds tax-free, it will be up to all of us, individually, to declare the received profit to
the IRS.

6. How can I trust you?
Well, it's a little late to ask *that* question! But, consider this:
I've received $52,000 from 122 of you. The only way you know that, is because I told you. I could have
said I received $30,000 ... and pocketed $22,000. How would you have known?

Here's how: (This is an 'Investment Club' and not a publicly-held company. I have no "reporting
requirements".) Below is *every* investors' first name, last initial and the number of 'shares' they've
purchased. That's pretty transparent, don't you think?

The only people I want to get involved in this club are those who've been on my mailing list awhile and
know me. If you don't trust me, request your refund and I'll get it out right away.

Here's the list. It's only quasi-alphabetical. I entered them as they arrived.

If you did not show up on this list, and you sent a check, I will need a copy
of the canceled check (both sides) with my signature on the back to add you to
it and credit you for payment. (We *did* have that happen to one person.)

I'm still working on the investment company list. It should be done in a few days
and I'll get it off to you so you'll be able to track our progress independently.

'Til next time!

Bruce
