BPSF Newsletter - Sale and food crisis
Staying prepared for any emergency .... > Best Prices Storable Foods Newsletter

Hope you had a happy Independence Day! (for those of you who still celebrate it....)

We've now received all of our Real Canned Meats (both 28 oz and 14 oz cans),
furnished by our new supplier, under our OWN label.  They're in stock and ready
to ship!  For the month of July, we're offering the 28 oz cans at 10 per cent
off
full cases so you can TRY them.  They're GREAT!  Just enter the code
" JUL10 " in our cart to get the special.  These are the highest quality meats in
the industry.  (Our competitor's canned meats contain TWENTY FIVE PERCENT (25%)
*FAT* in the can!  Ours are lean, high-quality, hand-packed, low fat meats.)
We're also putting our Kraft Canned Cheese on sale @ only 90.00/case.  Use the
code " CH08 " to get the discount.

We're in the midst of SEVERE storable-food-buying panic like we haven't seen
since the Y2K scare.  (There are some good reasons for this as our Republic is
being dismantled at an alarming rate, and we have an outright Marxist
[communist] running for president! among other things.
)  Our cannery has fallen
WAY behind in filling dehydrated food orders.

On July 2nd we posted the following on our website.  IT DOES *NOT* APPLY TO THE
ITEMS WE HAVE IN STOCK.  It applies only to drop-shipped dehydrated foods.

Those of you who belong to chatrooms might want to pass this along....

"SHIPPING DATE CAN NO LONGER BE GIVEN FOR DEHYDRATED
FOODS.  YOUR ORDER WILL SHIP WHEN THE CANNERY GETS TO YOUR ORDER.

"At LEAST a 5% price increase for all dehydrated foods on or before July 14,
2008.  Cannery can no longer guarantee ANY pricing for ANY length of time, even
for orders already placed.  You must be willing to pay whatever the current
price is, and wait however long it takes the cannery to ship.  WE WILL NO
LONGER ACCEPT "ORDER STATUS" PHONE CALLS.  Please LISTEN.  We CANNOT get ANY
information on how long your order will take.  You'll get it when you get it.
(Other companies may tell you differently, but they are LYING to you.  We're
ALL IN THE SAME POSITION DURING THIS PANIC-BUYING STATE.)

"The cannery will NO LONGER accept ANY changes to your order.  If you forgot
something, you MUST put in a NEW order for the items you want.  You cannot
change an order anymore.

"We will let you cancel an order within ONE WEEK at no charge.  After that,
there will be a 10% order cancellation charge.  No exceptions."

- - - - -

You might want to read that again.  There ARE competitors out there that will
tell you they will ship your dehydrated foods sooner.  THEY ARE LYING TO YOU
and you'll find out when they keep stalling, delaying and not returning your
phone calls.  We suppliers are all in the same boat.

Normally, only about 1/2 of one percent of Americans store dehydrated foods.
right now, about 5 times that many Americans are (trying to) do so. That's 2
1/2% of the country.  DEHYDRATING COMPANIES CANNOT KEEP UP and all dry food
suppliers are behind in filling orders.

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR ORDER WITH *US*, YOU'LL JUST GO INTO ANOTHER COMPANY'S
WAITING LIST AND HAVE TO WAIT THAT MUCH LONGER.  Don't fall for their fake promises!

To make matters worse, MANY dry food canners do not understand capitalism and
are refusing to buy some products from dehydrators because "the price is too
high".  The way the market is SUPPOSED to work is based on "supply and demand".

When demand is greater than supply, the price goes up until demand drops off
(you can't afford to buy it) and supply can again be met.
When supply is greater than demand (enough people are not buying, so there is
too much product
), price for an item is lowered (item goes "on sale") until the
supply is sold.

I shouldn't have to explain that, but our schools and colleges are apparently
too busy teaching socialism (redistribution of wealth) and I'm constantly
amazed at the ignorance of many businessmen these days....

So, to be clear

1. Even if your dehydrated food order is already in, your pricing may go up
roughly 5%, or whatever increases there are until your order ships.

2. If your dehydrated food order is already in, the cannery will make every
effort to absorb price increases, but if they cannot (if prices become greater
than they can absorb), your pricing will go up.

3. There will be a 10% order cancellation charge after your order has been in
for one week. There is too much work put in, and expenses incurred, in placing
orders with the cannery to allow for "free cancellations".  This is a time for
patience ... and a time to kick yourself for not preparing last year!
(Remember out motto? "It's better to be a year too early than one minute too
late.
")

4. Please stop calling us for dehydrated foods "order status".   We don't know
and can no longer find out.  You WILL get your order as soon as the cannery can
get it out.

5. If an item is not found on the shopping cart, it is not currently available.
No point in calling us about it.

6. If an item becomes unavailable when your order is being prepared, your order
will ship without it and you will not be charged for it.  You will have to put in a new
order for it and just wait to receive it.
