A Retraction

OK, OK, I know this is the THIRD time for me to write this month, and I'm sorry
to bother you again.  But I have to retract one item from the last mailing.
A reader wrote to say Google is NOT censoring the American Spectator. Either
the site was hacked or they've inadvertently displayed an infected picture on
their website that contains malicious code, and the warning from Google is
genuine.  Apparently, this also happened last year.

I usually go to snopes.com to verify--or discredit--rumors and "chain emails", but the
Google/American Spectator thing was brought to me by someone I considered
reliable, and so didn't vet the story this time.  I apologize to all of you!

Out of Some Foods Until Harvest

Our dehydrated foods cannery has advised us that they are OUT of most beans
(except small red and pinto) and grains (except for red wheat and rice) until
Fall harvest.  They'll hold prices as long as possible (for orders already in),
but new pricing goes into effect August 4.  We've already got the list.

1999 Sprouts

Many of you are concerned about the length of time you can store sprout seeds.
We accidentally found out!  In cleaning out our walk-in pantry, in the back of
the very top shelf, Phyllis found a plastic container of sprouts that we didn't
sell in 1999 and kept for our own use.

I thought it would be interesting to see if they'd still sprout after 9 years.
Over 60% DID!  See the pictures at the bottom of this page:

BPSF in the News

About a week ago, one of our visitors (maybe one of you?) sent WorldNetDaily
our page in which we tell of the feds buying up an entire containerload of
canned butter when it hit the docks in California.

One of their reporters (Bob Unruh) called me and interviewed me about it. I
also told him about the feds buying up all of canned Mountain House product.
The article came out today:

It's a good article for you to send along to your friends and relatives....

Quinn and Rose in the Morning

A couple of years ago, we in the DFW area lost an EXCELLENT talk radio host,
Darrell Ankarlo, and are now saddled with a lukewarm guy on AM570 KLIF.  So,
I've returned to listening to Quinn and Rose from 5 to 9 a.m. Central time.  (I
usually don't join the show until 6, though, to be honest.)

If you're looking for an informative and entertaining show in the morning, you
can listen free at

http://streamingradioguide.com/radio-show.php?show=2238

When the Listen buttons are there, and green, you can click on them and listen
online from anywhere in the world. They broadcast from WPGB in Pittsburgh, PA,
which is the one I listen to.  Quinn is a hard-hitting, conservative, funny,
immensely entertaining talk show host. He has a Washington insider (who he
calls Son of Deep Throat) who says Romney will be McCain's choice for VP.

Give Jim Quinn and Radio Rose a try.  I think you'll love 'em, too!

This time, it REALLY WILL be

'Til next month, stay safe!
