A number of you have written regarding the free NRA membership, prefering Gun Owners of America (GOA).  It, too, is a
great organization and worthy of support and membership.  Regardless of which you join, I think it will *soon* be very
important that gun owners band together....

I also received the following email which is spot-on:

We have not met, and I just signed up for your website last month.  Like what you do there, and you will
probably be receiving some orders in the near future.  Now to the purpose of this reply.

I have been a lifetime member of the NRA for many years.  This is an offer that will help grow NRA membership. 
But the NRA is not the only answer to the Second Amemdment issues.  Individuals who value our rights need to
flood their elected representatives with communications opposing any such legislation.  I support the NRA's efforts,
but also directly confront my congressional reps. as an individual American.   I regularly do this on any issue that I
think compromises our rights at any level.

The NRA is a great organization.  But individual Americans can also play a major role in this fight.
